Team Leader (US Freight Brokerage), Night Shift

Working Days: Monday to Friday (Saturday and Sunday off)

Experience: 3+ years in US freight brokerage, including at least 1 year leading a team

Pace Logistics Services is a fast-growing logistics company in Mohali that provides reliable freight and transportation solutions to clients across the United States. We are looking for a confident and driven Team Leader to guide a team of freight brokers and help them reach their goals.

Role Overview The Team Leader will manage a small team of freight brokers and carrier sales reps. You'll be responsible for their daily performance, training and target achievement, while still handling key accounts and loads yourself. The role needs strong communication, confidence, and the ability to lead by example on the floor.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management

- Lead, guide and motivate a team of freight brokers and carrier sales reps
- Assign daily tasks and targets, and track team activity during the shift
- Keep the team disciplined, punctual and professional
- Run daily team huddles and give regular feedback

Performance and Targets

- Track team KPIs: loads booked, revenue, margin, call volume and new customers
- Coach team members to improve their negotiation, sales and communication skills
- Report team performance to the Floor Manager every day and every week
- Identify skill gaps and help underperformers improve

Brokerage Operations

- Handle your own key accounts and high-value loads
- Support the team with difficult negotiations, rate discussions and carrier sourcing
- Resolve escalations: delays,



claims and service issues with shippers and carriers
- Make sure carriers are vetted and compliant (MC/DOT authority, insurance, safety)
- Make sure load details and documentation are updated correctly in the TMS/CRM

Training and Support

- Train recent joiners on load boards, TMS, company processes and US freight basics
- Share best practices and help team members grow in their roles
- Work closely with the Floor Manager to improve processes and results

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in US freight brokerage, with at least 1 year as a Team Leader or senior broker guiding others
- Excellent English communication skills, spoken and written
- Strong confidence and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a team
- Good knowledge of US freight: FTL, LTL, dry van, reefer and flatbed
- Hands-on experience with load boards (DAT, Truckstop) and TMS/CRM software
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work under pressure and meet targets
- Basic reporting skills in MS Excel / Google Sheets
- Comfortable working night shifts on a fixed basis
- Based in or willing to relocate to Mohali / Chandigarh Tricity

Preferred Qualifications
- An existing network of shippers and carriers
- Experience training new freight brokers
- A graduate degree in any field
