Role Description The Team Leader – Design is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai, responsible for leading the design team in developing material handling and intralogistics solutions. This role involves managing end-to-end product design activities, including requirements gathering, concept development, detailed design, and design reviews to ensure technical accuracy, safety, and manufacturability.

The Team

Leader will coordinate closely with project management, manufacturing, and installation teams to align designs with project timelines and client specifications. Day-to-day tasks include assigning and monitoring design work, mentoring team members,



ensuring adherence to standards and best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and tools.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Team Leadership and Team Management skills to guide, mentor, and coordinate a multidisciplinary design team.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional project teams.
- Candidates should possess solid Project Management skills to plan design activities, manage timelines, and support successful project delivery.
- Candidates should possess Product Design skills relevant to mechanical systems, material handling equipment, and automation solutions.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is preferred, with experience in industrial automation or material handling design.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and familiarity with design standards, safety regulations, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to analyze technical requirements, propose innovative solutions, and work independently in a quick-paced, production-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in leading design teams or projects in intralogistics, conveyors, or warehouse automation will be an advantage.
