Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and fluent Japanese Team Lead to oversee daily operations, manage project deliverables, and guide a team of bilingual/multilingual professionals. In thisrole, you will act as the key liaison between Japanese clients/stakeholders and internal teams,

ensuring seamless communication, high-quality deliverables, and high operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management & Leadership

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Japanese-speaking customer service representatives, content moderators, or specialists.

Conduct regular 1-on-1 feedback sessions, performance reviews, and team coaching.

Manage team schedules, attendance, workload distribution, and overall productivity.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

Serve as the primary point of contact for Japanese clients, partners, or regional stakeholders.

Facilitate regular status meetings, deliver performance reports, and handle escalations professionally in Japanese (written and verbal).





Ensure accurate interpretation and translation of business requirements, guidelines, and project specs.

Quality & Operational Excellence

Monitor team outputs, SLAs, and KPIs (e.g., CSAT, response time, quality accuracy) to meet or exceed targets.

Conduct quality audits, root-cause analyses, and implement corrective action plans when needed.

Continuously optimize team processes, training materials, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications & Requirements

Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or equivalent required) and high proficiency in English (both written and spoken).

Experience: 2+ years of experience Team Lead role within BPO, customer support, IT, or localized operations.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace, CRM systems Zendesk), and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).

Soft Skills: Excellent conflict resolution, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
