Note: This position focuses heavily on migrating data from Sybase ASE to Oracle using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)

: Job Summary Info: We are looking for a skilled ETL Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain robust data integration pipelines and enterprise data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ETL tools, SQL, data transformation, data quality, and cloud/data engineering practices.

Info: The role requires working closely with business stakeholders, data architects, analytics teams, and application developers to enable efficient and scalable data movement across systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications Must Have : 46 years of hands-on experience in ETL development and large-scale data migrations across heterogeneous relational databases (Oracle, Sybase, MySQL).

Must Have : Advanced proficiency in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL, with specialized skills in database performance tuning for massive data volumes.

Must Have : Proven track record of executing end-to-end Sybase ASE to Oracle migrations, managing both high-volume historical loads and complex incremental loads Must Have : Strong implementation knowledge of Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms to ensure seamless data synchronization Must Have : Deep expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Apache NiFi to build, deploy, and manage efficient ETL/ELT pipelines.

Must Have : Extensive experience in managing schema conversions, data mapping definitions, and automated data reconciliation across diverse RDBMS environments.

Experience with data modelling tools (logical/physical modelling, ER diagrams, normalization/denormalization)

Responsibilities

Must Have : Design and implement ETL pipelines for migrating data across multiple RDBMS platforms (Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Must Have : Develop schema conversion strategies and transformation logic to reconcile differences between source and target systems.

Must Have : Optimize migration performance using partitioning, indexing, bulk load techniques, and query tuning.

Must Have : Plan and execute cutovers with rollback strategies, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity.

Must Have : Perform validation and reconciliation: row counts, checksums, referential integrity checks, and automated reconciliation reports.

Must Have : Collaborate with DBAs, application owners, and QA teams to align migration plans with business requirements.

Must Have : Document migration artifacts: mapping documents, runbooks, test plans, and postmigration validation evidence.

Must Have : Contribute to governance and metadata management during migration, ensuring lineage and master data integrity.

Certification Oracle Certified Qualified (OCP) and relevant non-relational database certifications are a plus

Education Must Have : Graduation in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Must Have : Information Technology or similar field or post-graduation in above mentioned discipline from a recognized University
