Key Responsibilities

1. Import & Export Shipping Operations

· Documentation Management: Prepare and process complete import and export documentation including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), Airway Bills (AWB), Certificates of Origin, and Shipping Bills / Bills of Entry.

· Cargo Coordination: Coordinate cross-border movement of precision tooling supplies, raw materials (carbide rods, tool blanks), and finished cutting tools.

· Shipment Tracking: Track sea, air, and international courier shipments (DHL, FedEx, UPS) from dispatch through delivery, keeping internal logistics and procurement teams updated.

2. Customs Clearance & Regulatory Compliance

· CHA & Port Liaison: Liaise with Custom House Agents (CHAs) and port/ICD customs authorities (e.g., ICD Dighi, ICD Chinchwad, JNPT Port, Mumbai Air Cargo) to ensure smooth customs clearance.

· HSN Classification: Verify correct HSN classification (e.g., Chapter 82 for cutting tools and interchangeable parts) and accurate duty calculations.

· Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with DGFT guidelines, ICEGATE procedures, and Indian Customs regulations to eliminate port holding and demurrage risks.

3. Freight Forwarding & Logistics Cost Management

· Freight Negotiation: Source, compare, and negotiate competitive air and ocean freight rates with local and global freight forwarders.

· Incoterms Management: Understand and manage INCOTERMS (EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP) across raw material procurement and finished tool export orders.

· Expense Control: Monitor transit times, detention, and demurrage costs; audit and process invoices from CHAs, shipping lines, and logistics vendors.

4. Documentation & ERP Records

· ERP Entry:



Update shipment status, shipping bills, and customs invoices directly into the company’s ERP system.

· Audit Trail: Maintain complete physical and digital records of all shipping files, Bank Realization Certificates (e-BRC), and customs declarations for regulatory and audit compliance.

Key Qualifications & Skill Requirements

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Foreign Trade, or related discipline.

· Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in import-export execution, custom clearing support, and freight forwarding within a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering context.

· Technical Domain Knowledge: Solid familiarity with HSN codes (specifically for cutting tools, metals, or industrial hardware), INCOTERMS 2020, and custom clearing workflows at Indian ports/airports (JNPT, Mumbai Air Cargo, Pune ICDs).

· Software Proficiency: Hands-on proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and ERP systems (SAP, Tally, or custom manufacturing ERPs).

· Communication & Negotiation: Effective written and verbal English/Hindi communication skills to deal with overseas vendors, forwarders, and CHAs.

Preferred / Good to Have

· Industry Background: Prior experience in a cutting tools, tooling inserts, special steel, or precision machining enterprise in the Pune region (Chakan, Bhosari, Ranjangaon, Shikrapur, etc.).

· Global Supplier Handling: Familiarity with foreign supplier logistics coordination (e.g., imports from Europe, China, or South Korea).

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
