Overview
- Supervises the unapplied cash research team, ensuring timely investigation, allocation, and resolution of unidentified payments.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily research and allocation of unapplied cash items across clients.
- Collaborate with banks, payment posting, and finance teams for missing details.
- Ensure timely follow up on suspense accounts and reduction of unapplied balances.
- Maintain accurate logs and ensure audit readiness for all resolutions.
- Train and coach team members to improve analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Provide periodic reports to leadership on trends and process improvements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least two to four (2-4) years of medical billing and claims resolution experience preferred.
- AAHAM and/or HFMA certification preferred.
- Experience with offshore engagement and collaboration desired.
