Job Overview

Responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to ensure the effective treatment of wastewater generated within the park. Ensure that the plant operates efficiently, treated water meets applicable environmental standards, and all activities comply with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor STP equipment, pumps, blowers, motors, and treatment systems on a daily basis.
- Monitor wastewater treatment processes and check water quality parameters as required.
- Ensure the proper functioning and cleanliness of the treatment plant and associated equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and report equipment faults.
- Monitor sludge levels and ensure proper sludge handling and disposal as per applicable procedures.
- Maintain daily operational records, equipment checklists, water quality reports, and maintenance logs.
- Ensure treated wastewater is reused or discharged only as permitted by applicable standards and procedures.
- Immediately report equipment breakdowns, abnormal operating conditions, leaks,



or other technical issues to the concerned supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures while handling wastewater, treatment chemicals, and plant equipment.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs, servicing, and periodic inspections.
- Ensure the STP area remains clean, organised, and free from hazards.
- Support environmental compliance inspections and maintain relevant records for audits.

Qualifications and Experience
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Previous experience operating an STP, ETP, or wastewater treatment plant is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of pumps, motors, blowers, wastewater treatment processes, and water quality monitoring.
- Ability to maintain operational records and follow standard operating procedures.

Skills Required

- Knowledge of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Attention to detail and ability to monitor plant operations.
- Positive communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with the maintenance team.
