Role Description The Store Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Store

Assistant will support day-to-day store operations, including receiving, checking, and organizing materials, components, and tools.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing materials for production, issuing stock against approved requests, and assisting with periodic stock audits. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams for material requirements, ensuring cleanliness and safety in the store area, and following company procedures for documentation and reporting.

Assistant may interact with vendors or delivery personnel as needed to ensure timely and accurate inward and outward movement of goods.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Communication and Customer Service skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Retail Sales and Organization Skills to manage stock placement, material handling, and orderly store operations.
- Candidates should possess Training and related skills to learn and follow store processes, safety guidelines, and documentation practices.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management practices and familiarity with store or warehouse environments is beneficial.
- Ability to use basic computer applications or inventory software, with attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
- Prior experience in stores, warehouse, or material handling in an industrial or manufacturing setting is an advantage.
- Minimum educational qualification at the secondary or higher secondary level; vocational or technical training related to stores or logistics is a plus.
