- Job Title : Sourcing/ Purchase Officer
- Experience: 3-6 Years
- Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Key Requirement: Strong Experience in Metals Procurement We are specifically looking for candidates with hands-on experience in procuring metals and metal-based raw materials for manufacturing operations. Candidates primarily experienced in indirect procurement or general purchasing without metal sourcing exposure may not be suitable.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle procurement of MS/SS plates, sheets, metal bars, aluminium, castings, and fabricated metal components.
- Source, develop, and manage vendors for metals, fabrication, machining, and casting.




- Float RFQs, compare quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Understand material grades, specifications, quantities, and engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with Design, BOM, Production, and Stores teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, supplier quality issues, rejections, and replacements.
- Monitor metal prices, identify cost-saving opportunities, and evaluate vendor performance.
- Maintain vendor databases, rate contracts, ERP records, and procurement documentation.

Required Skills

- Proven experience in metal procurement within a manufacturing or engineering company.
- Strong knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, material grades, and specifications.
- Experience with metal suppliers, fabrication vendors, machining vendors, or foundries.
- Robust negotiation, vendor development, and follow-up skills.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel.
