Key Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and maintain backend services and REST APIs in Python, along with application and frontend logic in JavaScript (Node.js / React).

- Integrate internal and third-party APIs, handling authentication, request and response payloads, rate limits, and error handling.

- Work with relational databases; write and optimize SQL queries, make basic schema changes, and keep data access reliable.

- Write unit and integration tests, and take part in code reviews to keep the codebase clean, readable, and consistent.

- Debug and resolve issues across the stack, including reproducing, root-causing, and fixing production bugs.

- Support builds and deployments on the cloud environment, including staged rollouts, and help monitor services after release.

- Write clear, concise technical documentation for the features and code you work on.

Technical Skills

Required:

- Languages: Python and JavaScript.

- Backend: At least one Python web framework (Flask, FastAPI, or Django).

- Frontend / runtime: Node.js, with basic familiarity with a modern JS framework such as React.

- APIs: Working with REST APIs and JSON, request authentication, and testing with Postman or similar tools.

- Databases:



Relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL) and the ability to write basic SQL queries.

- Environment: Comfortable working on Linux and the command line.

Good to have:

- Exposure to a cloud platform, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Basic Docker usage.

- Familiarity with messaging or chatbot platform APIs.

- Some experience running or integrating language models locally or via an API.

- Any exposure to non-relational stores such as Redis or MongoDB.

- Understanding of virtual environments, dependency management, and .env-based configuration.

Other Requirements

- A degree or diploma in computer science / IT, or equivalent practical experience.

- Able to organize own work, manage assigned tasks, and deliver reliably with minimal oversight.

- A sound grasp of programming fundamentals and debugging and explicit written communication.

- Reliable, follows through on committed deadlines, takes direction well, and is willing to learn on the job.

Ability to read and write Bengali (useful for content-related validation work).
