We are looking for an experienced Software Architect Consultant who can bring strong architectural expertise, strategic technical guidance, and practical experience to our engineering initiatives.

This is a consultant-based engagement, not a full-time position , offering flexibility to contribute your expertise to the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.

Role Overview

As a Software Architect Consultant, you will provide architectural direction, evaluate technology choices, and guide engineering teams in building robust software systems. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure that technical solutions align with business objectives, performance requirements, security standards, and long-term scalability.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in software architecture, cloud platforms, distributed systems, and modern architectural patterns, along with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and oversee end-to-end software architecture across backend, frontend, cloud, and infrastructure components.
- Provide architectural guidance and technical solutions for complex business and engineering challenges.
- Define scalable, secure, reliable,



and high-availability system architectures.
- Evaluate and recommend suitable technology stacks, frameworks, tools, and architectural patterns.
- Design and guide the implementation of microservices, API integrations, and distributed systems.
- Provide expertise in cloud architecture and deployment strategies.
- Review system designs, code, and technical documentation to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
- Identify architectural risks, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and engineering leaders to align technical decisions with business goals.
- Mentor and support development teams in architectural principles, engineering standards, and best practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience in software architecture, solution design, or senior software engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture patterns, including microservices and event-driven architecture.
- Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proven experience designing scalable, secure, and high-performance software systems.
- Strong knowledge of system design, distributed systems, API architecture, and database design.
- Experience contributing to or leading large-scale software projects.
- Understanding of application security, performance optimization, reliability,



and high availability.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide practical, business-oriented technical recommendations.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud-native application design and deployment.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, monitoring, and observability.
- Experience with API gateways, caching strategies, messaging systems, and integration platforms.
- Ability to assess existing architectures and recommend modernization strategies.
