: Short-Form Video Editor

Full-time | Chennai | ₹40,000–₹50,000/month The Role

We're looking for a creative Short-Form Video Editor who understands how to turn raw footage into engaging, visually compelling short-form content that captures attention and keeps viewers watching.

This role focuses on editing short-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms. We value strong storytelling, creative pacing, visual aesthetics, and an understanding of what makes content engaging. Graphic design skills are equally important, helping you create polished visuals that complement your edits and strengthen the overall presentation.

What You'll Do

Short-Form Video Editing

- Edit engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms.
- Create strong hooks that capture attention within the first few seconds.
- Improve pacing, storytelling, rhythm, and viewer retention.
- Use music, sound effects, transitions, and visual elements effectively.
- Add subtitles, captions, motion elements, and other graphics to enhance engagement.
- Adapt edits to different formats, platforms, and audience requirements.
- Implement feedback efficiently while maintaining creative quality.

Graphic Design & Visuals

- Design compelling graphics, titles, text animations, and visual elements for short-form content.
- Create visually consistent content that aligns with brand guidelines.
- Develop creative layouts, typography, and compositions that complement video edits.
- Design supporting assets such as thumbnails, covers, and social media creatives when required.




- Maintain a high standard of visual quality across all deliverables.

Creative Production

- Organize footage, project files, music, graphics, and other editing assets.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop ideas and improve content quality.
- Contribute creative suggestions for hooks, formats, storytelling, and visual treatments.
- Manage multiple editing tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
- Stay updated with evolving short-form content styles and editing techniques without compromising originality.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

- 1–3 years of experience in video editing, short-form content creation, or a related creative role.
- Strong knowledge of engaging short-form video editing techniques.
- A good understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling, and audience retention.
- Good graphic design skills, including typography, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, or other relevant creative tools.
- A strong sense of visual aesthetics, music selection, and sound design.
- The ability to understand creative briefs and translate them into compelling videos.
- Valuable communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong short-form editing and visual design abilities.





Bonus Skills for Shortlisting

- Experience operating cameras and shooting video content.
- Knowledge of videography, framing, composition, and lighting.
- Experience with motion graphics and animation.
- Experience editing content for established YouTube channels or brands.
- An understanding of social media analytics and content performance.
- Experience with color correction and basic color grading.
