Key Responsibilities

A. HVAC Test Rig Service &

- Maintenance

- Provide technical service and maintenance support for HVAC testing laboratory equipment and test rigs.

- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of:

- HVAC test chambers

- Calorimeter / psychrometric test systems

- Airflow test systems

- Refrigeration test circuits

- Cooling/heating systems

- Condensing units

- AHU / air-handling systems

- Pumps and fans

- Heat exchangers

- Compressors

- Valves and actuators.

- Identify abnormal operation and take corrective action.

- Maintain test rigs in operational condition with minimum downtime.

- Develop preventive maintenance schedules for laboratory equipment.

B. Instrumentation &

- Measurement Systems

- Service and troubleshoot laboratory measurement instruments such as:

- Temperature sensors

- Humidity sensors

- Pressure sensors/transducers

- Differential pressure sensors

- Airflow measurement devices

- Flow meters

- Energy/power meters

- Refrigerant temperature/pressure sensors

- RTDs / thermocouples

- Load cells, wherever applicable.

- Check sensor health and identify abnormal or unstable readings.

- Support sensor replacement and configuration.

- Coordinate calibration activities with approved laboratories.

- Maintain calibration records and instrument history.

C. Data Acquisition &

- Control Systems

- Troubleshoot DAQ systems, PLCs, controllers, HMI and laboratory control systems.

- Identify communication failures between sensors, PLC, DAQ and software.

- Support troubleshooting of:

- PLC I/O

- Analog/digital signals

- Communication networks

- Data logging systems

- HMI alarms

- Controller faults

- Software/hardware communication issues.

- Coordinate with system integrators/OEMs for complex software and control-system issues.

- Verify correct data acquisition after repairs.

D.

Refrigeration System

Troubleshooting

- Troubleshoot refrigeration circuits used in HVAC testing facilities.

- Diagnose:

- Compressor problems

- High/low pressure conditions





- Refrigerant leakage

- Refrigerant flow issues

- Expansion valve problems

- Condenser/evaporator performance

- Oil/refrigerant-related issues.

- Check refrigeration operating parameters and identify abnormal trends.

- Support refrigerant recovery, charging and leak testing as per applicable procedures.

E. Test Chamber &

- Environmental Control

- Maintain environmental test chambers and associated systems.

- Monitor and troubleshoot:

- Temperature control

- Humidity control

- Air circulation

- Heating systems

- Cooling systems

- Control valves

- Dampers

- Fans and blowers.

- Support chamber performance verification and validation.

- Ensure the laboratory can achieve required test conditions consistently.

F. Calibration &

- Measurement Accuracy

- Maintain an updated calibration schedule for laboratory instruments.

- Ensure only calibrated/approved instruments are used for testing.

- Support calibration and verification of:

- Temperature

- Pressure

- Humidity

- Airflow

- Electrical power

- Flow

- Other critical measurement parameters.

- Investigate measurement deviations and abnormal readings.

- Support uncertainty/measurement accuracy investigations where applicable.

G.

Breakdown

Support

- Attend laboratory breakdowns and restore equipment operation within the required timeline.

- Diagnose problems systematically rather than replacing components without identifying the root cause.

- Maintain breakdown records.

- Conduct RCA for major or repeated laboratory failures.

- Recommend corrective and preventive actions.

- Maintain critical spare-parts requirements.

H. Documentation

Maintain

- Preventive maintenance records

- Breakdown reports

- Calibration records

- Test-rig history

- Instrument history

- Spare-parts records

- Service reports

- RCA/CAPA reports

- OEM service records

- Test-rig operating checklists.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
