Permanent | Fully Remote | Global Investment Management The Opportunity A leading global investment management firm is undertaking a major technology transformation, migrating its investment platforms towards BlackRock Aladdin while retaining SimCorp GAIN as a critical component of its enterprise Security Master infrastructure.

This is a technically challenging setting, developed and extensively customised over more than a decade. It incorporates complex data integrations, normalisation, derivation and validation rules, supporting security and reference data across multiple upstream sources and downstream investment systems.

We are looking for an exceptional, hands-on SimCorp GAIN Technical Lead to take ownership of this workplace, enhance its capabilities and help establish a highly capable internal engineering team with significantly reduced reliance on external consultants.

This is not a project management, functional consulting or high-level architecture position. It is an opportunity for an experienced GAIN specialist who enjoys solving difficult technical problems, working directly within GAIN Studio and understanding complex data processing logic.

The Role

You will take technical ownership of a sophisticated SimCorp GAIN Security Master environment, working across existing integrations, data models, custom business rules and the underlying infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include

- Develop, configure and maintain SimCorp GAIN Security Master solutions using GAIN Studio and Data Browser .
- Build and enhance data integrations from multiple upstream systems, including Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin and internal data sources.
- Develop and modify complex data transformation, normalisation, cleansing, derivation and validation rules.
- Investigate and reverse-engineer existing configurations, understanding how data flows through complex, highly customised processing logic.




- Diagnose and resolve challenging data processing issues, including feed failures, transformation errors and inconsistent security master data.
- Configure source-specific processing logic and maintain the integrity of instrument, issuer and reference data.
- Build, configure and maintain GAIN environments, including testing, production and disaster recovery infrastructure.
- Support changes to upstream and downstream integrations as the firm's wider investment technology transformation progresses.
- Work closely with investment technology teams to deliver reliable, scalable Security Master capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership through hands-on engineering, troubleshooting and sharing specialist knowledge with the internal team.

Essential experience

- Extensive, recent, hands-on experience working with SimCorp GAIN , ideally as your primary technical responsibility for several years.
- Strong practical expertise in GAIN Studio , including personally developing, configuring, modifying and troubleshooting solutions.
- Demonstrable experience with GAIN Security Master , covering instruments, issuers, attributes and reference data management.
- Hands-on proficiency with GAIN Data Browser for data investigation, analysis and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining upstream data feeds and integrations within GAIN.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end security data processing, including ingestion, parsing, normalisation, cleansing, custom business rules,



derivations and downstream distribution.
- Ability to understand, troubleshoot and modify complex existing GAIN configurations rather than relying solely on new implementations.
- Practical experience configuring or establishing GAIN environments and supporting their operation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.

Desirable experience

- Integrating SimCorp GAIN with BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg or other enterprise market data platforms.
- Experience with Bloomberg Back Office data feeds.
- Experience with GAIN's Data Management Core (DMC), process context and source-dependent processing.
- Supporting large-scale investment platform migrations or complex enterprise data integration programmes.
- Previous experience working directly for SimCorp or in a technically focused GAIN implementation or engineering team.
- Experience within investment management, asset management or capital markets technology.
