Job Title: Senior Laravel Engineer ERP, Payments, AWS & AI Agents

Saturday: 6:30pm to 10:30 pm

We are a growing trading company with a custom-built Laravel ERP developed by our in-house team in Bangalore. We are preparing for production go-live in January 2027 and are looking for an experienced Senior Laravel Engineer with solid financial ERP, payment workflow, AWS, and AI agent development experience.

The selected candidate will initially focus on implementing secure payment controls and finance workflows within our existing ERP. From March 2027 onward, the role will expand to developing AI-powered agents that assist finance and sales teams using ERP data.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong backend development, financial transaction accuracy, security awareness, and experience delivering AI integrations to real users.

Key Responsibilities

Phase 1: ERP Finance & Payment Controls (December 2026 February 2027)

- Develop payment status tracking and bank transaction matching/reconciliation within the ERP.
- Implement maker-checker workflows requiring two-person approval before supplier payments and bank wire transfers.
- Develop alerts and audit trails for supplier bank detail changes.
- Implement masking and protection of sensitive bank account and tax identification data.
- Build proof-of-payment validation and document requirements.
- Develop workflows for recording and managing non-inventory expenses and charges.
- Ensure accurate financial calculations using decimal-safe monetary handling.
- Support testing, deployment, production readiness, and January 2027 ERP go-live.
- Phase 2: AI Agents & Intelligent ERP Automation (From March 2027)

- Develop AI-powered finance agents using ERP data and business APIs.
- Build a finance assistant for cash position, receivables aging,



and collection follow-up draft generation.
- Implement payment anomaly detection and alerts.
- Integrate invoice and document reading using AI and OCR/document processing technologies.
- Develop a stock and inventory assistant for the sales team.
- Integrate OpenAI API or Claude API using tool calling and structured outputs.
- Implement human approval workflows before AI agents initiate sensitive actions.
- Ensure AI agents follow access controls, data privacy, audit logging, and secure execution practices.

Required Technical Skills
- Minimum 6 years of professional Laravel and PHP development experience.
- Strong experience with PHP 8.2 , Laravel, MySQL, and REST API development.
- Hands-on experience building production ERP, accounting, finance, or payment-related modules.
- Good understanding of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliation, payment processing, and financial transaction workflows.
- Experience implementing approval workflows, role-based access control (RBAC), and audit trails.
- Strong understanding of exact decimal arithmetic and financial data accuracy.
- Experience with secure coding, encryption, OWASP security practices, and protection of sensitive data.
- Experience with PHPUnit, automated testing, Git, GitHub, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical AWS deployment experience with RDS, EC2 or ECS, S3, and IAM.
- Proven experience shipping at least one LLM-based AI agent or tool-calling integration using OpenAI API or Claude API to real users.

- Experience with trading, distribution, inventory, or financial ERP sys
