Plant Engtech Private Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - Instrumentation to lead instrumentation engineering activities for Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, and Process Industry projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, engineering, review, execution, commissioning, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems while ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Instrumentation Engineering

- Design and develop instrumentation systems for refinery, petrochemical, gas processing, and onshore/offshore facilities.
- Prepare and review:
- Instrument Index
- I/O List
- Instrument Datasheets
- Hook-up Drawings
- Loop Diagrams
- Control Narratives
- Cause & Effect Diagrams
- Cable Schedules
- P&IDs; and Interconnection Diagrams
- Select and specify process instruments such as:
- Pressure, Temperature, Flow & Level Instruments
- Control Valves
- Safety Devices
- Analyzers
- Fire & Gas Detection Systems
- Review instrument installation drawings and ensure compliance with project and safety requirements.
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL Assessments, Risk Assessments, and Design Reviews.

Control & Safety Systems
- Review and support PLC, DCS, ESD, SIS, and SCADA system engineering and configurations.
- Support Functional Safety Studies and implementation of SIL requirements.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, ISA, API, NFPA, IECEx, and ATEX standards.
- Support commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and plant performance improvement activities.

Project Engineering & Coordination
- Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Piping, and Operations teams.
- Review technical bid evaluations and vendor documentation.
- Support procurement activities, vendor inspections, and FAT/SAT reviews.
- Monitor engineering progress and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
- Provide technical support during engineering, procurement,



construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and technical discussions.

Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead instrumentation engineering teams for detailed engineering projects.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables before submission.
- Ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Support proposal preparation, resource planning, and manpower estimation.

Required Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
- 8 to 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, LNG, EPC, PMC, or Process Industries.
- Strong knowledge of:
- DCS (Distributed Control Systems)
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)
- SCADA Systems
- SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems)
- Fire & Gas Detection Systems
- Familiarity with hazardous area classification and intrinsically protected systems.
- Knowledge of international standards including ISA, IEC, API, NFPA, IECEx, and ATEX.
- Proficiency in engineering software and instrument sizing tools.
