Senior Consultant - System Management Bag Manager Implementation Engineer JD SITA Internal Use Bag Manager Implementation Engineer Job Title Implementation Engineer Central Delivery Team Department TE Baggage Location India Travel Required Reports To Manager Application Management Role Summary The Bag Manager Implementation Engineer is responsible for the deployment configuration testing integration and commissioning of SITA Baggage solutions at customer airports The role works closely with customers project managers infrastructure teams airlines airport authorities baggage handling system vendors and thirdparty application providers to ensure successful implementation and migration of Bag Manager systems The engineer will participate in endtoend project delivery including requirements gathering system installation configuration testing cutover planning golive support and postimplementation stabilisation Key Responsibilities Solution Deployment Configuration Install and configure Bag Manager software components in customer environments Deploy Bag Manager solutions on physical virtual and cloudbased infrastructures Configure baggage routing sortation rules airline parameters and operational workflows Implement new airport terminal airline and BRS configurations System Integration Integrate Bag Manager with AODB FIDS BHS SITA messaging gateways Validate interface connectivity operational flows and message processing across integrated systems Testing Validation Develop and execute FAT SAT SIT and UAT test activities Analyze test results document defects and drive resolution with relevant teams Ensure operational scenarios are validated before production golive GoLive Hypercare Support Support airport operational readiness and production transition activities Execute cutover activities during agreed maintenance windows Provide onsite and remote golive support Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate resolution with product and engineering teams Bag Manager Implementation Engineer JD SITA Internal Use Technical Documentation Prepare and maintain HLD LLD installation guides test plans cutover plans operational procedures and asbuilt documentation Ensure project documentation is accurate version controlled and stored according to company standards Customer Engagement Conduct technical workshops and implementation meetings Provide regular implementation status updates Support customer training and knowledge transfer activities Manage technical stakeholders throughout project delivery Technical Skills Experience Mandatory 38 years of experience in airport IT systems Baggage systems or critical operational environments Experience implementing enterprise applications in customer environments Solid handson experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux RHEL administration including Installation patching upgrades and troubleshooting System services storage management networking and security hardening Log analysis and performance monitoring High Availability HA and Disaster Recovery DR concepts Strong experience with Azure DevOps including Azure Repos Boards Pipelines and Artifacts CICD pipeline execution and troubleshooting Release management and deployment automation Managing code repositories branching strategies and change control Supporting application deployments across development test and production environments Strong understanding of VMware virtualisation Windows Server TCPIP DNS DHCP Network routing and firewalls Experience with system integration troubleshooting server installation and configuration application deployment upgrades log analysis and issue resolution Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure high availability and disaster recovery solutions containerised deployments and DevOps practices Preferred Experience with airport baggage management systems Baggage Reconciliation Systems airport operations systems and aviation industry messaging standards Experience is Maria Oracle and SQL Databases Bag Manager Implementation Engineer JD SITA Internal Use Soft Skills Strong problemsolving and analytical skills Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to work independently under pressure Strong customer service orientation Effective presentation and workshop facilitation skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work across multicultural and global teams Qualifications Education Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or a related field Certifications Preferred Linux Administration Certification Microsoft Azure Fundamentals VMware Certification ITIL Foundation Travel Requirements Willingness to travel internationally to airports and customer locations Success Measures Su
