Executive / Senior Executive Packaging Procurement & Planning (Telecom / EV Charger Industry)

Position Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Packaging Procurement Executive/Senior Executive with 5-6 years of experience in Telecom Infrastructure, EV Charger, Electrical Equipment, Electronics Manufacturing, or similar industries. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted availability of packaging materials required for production and dispatch operations while maintaining optimum inventory levels and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of packaging materials, supplier coordination, SAP-based procurement processes, MRP planning, and inventory management. Preference will be given to candidates based in Hyderabad or nearby locations with an established network of local packaging suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Packaging Material Management

- Manage procurement and inventory planning of packaging materials required for production and logistics operations.
- Ensure timely availability of all packaging materials to support production schedules and customer dispatch commitments.

- Corrugated Boxes

- Wooden Boxes/Crates

- EPE Foams

- Bubble Wraps

- BOPP Tapes

- Stretch/Shrink Films

- Edge Protectors
- Labels & Stickers

- Strapping Materials
- Other secondary and tertiary packaging materials
- Coordinate closely with Production, Stores, Logistics, and Planning teams to ensure smooth material flow.

MRP Planning & SAP Operations

- Generate and monitor material requirements through SAP/MRP.
- Plan monthly ordering schedules based on production forecasts and dispatch plans.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate safety stocks are maintained.
- Track open purchase orders and expedite deliveries whenever required.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier data, and planning reports in SAP.

Supplier Management & Development

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with packaging suppliers.
- Coordinate regularly with vendors to communicate monthly and weekly requirements.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to committed delivery schedules.
- Identify and develop alternate suppliers to improve supply reliability and cost competitiveness.




- Conduct supplier performance tracking on Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Responsiveness.

Logistics & Production Support

- Work closely with production and logistics teams to understand daily packaging requirements.
- Ensure no line stoppages or dispatch delays due to packaging material shortages.
- Support new product development and customer-specific packaging requirements.
- Coordinate implementation of cost-effective and robust packaging solutions.

Cost Control & Continuous Improvement

- Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers for optimum pricing and service levels.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities through packaging optimization and alternate sourcing.
- Monitor packaging consumption trends and recommend improvements.
- Support initiatives related to inventory reduction and working capital optimization.

Desired Supplier Network Exposure The candidate should have prior sourcing experience and supplier connections across:

- Corrugated Box Manufacturers
- Wooden Box and Crate Manufacturers
- EPE Foam Suppliers
- Stretch Film and Shrink Film Suppliers
- Packaging Consumable Suppliers
- Industrial Packaging Vendors
- Logistics Packaging Service Providers

Preference will be given to candidates having strong exposure to local packaging suppliers in and around Hyderabad and Telangana region.

Required Technical Competencies

Procurement & Planning Skills

- Solid understanding of MRP-based procurement and inventory planning.
- Experience in monthly procurement planning and order scheduling.
- Knowledge of packaging material specifications and applications.
- Understanding of inventory control and stock management principles.

SAP & System Knowledge

- Sound working knowledge of SAP (MM Module preferred).
- Ability to generate MRP reports, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and inventory reports.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement reporting tools.

Packaging Knowledge

- Good understanding of industrial packaging requirements for Telecom Equipment, EV Chargers, Electrical Panels, Enclosures, and Electronics Products.
- Knowledge of transit packaging,



export packaging, and warehouse packaging practices.
- Familiarity with packaging material testing and quality requirements.

Communication & Coordination Skills

- Solid vendor communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Educational Qualification

- Graduate or Diploma holder in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Any equivalent technical qualification with relevant industry experience will also be considered.
- Certification in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or SAP will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 5-6 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Packaging Procurement, Material Planning, or Supply Chain functions.
- Experience in Telecom Equipment, EV Charger, Electrical Equipment, Electronics Manufacturing, Industrial Manufacturing, or similar industries.
- Hands-on exposure to SAP-driven procurement and MRP-based planning is mandatory.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Based in Hyderabad or nearby locations.
- Strong network of packaging suppliers in Hyderabad and surrounding regions.
- Experience in managing packaging requirements for high-volume manufacturing operations.
- Good commercial understanding and negotiation skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of independently handling procurement activities.
