About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Estimator – Procurement & Preconstruction Specialist to support U.S. construction projects remotely from India. This role combines construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, bid management, procurement planning, MEP and electrical estimating support, and international sourcing. Working closely with executive leadership and teams across Development, Construction Operations, Finance, and Field Operations, you will translate design documents into reliable cost estimates, coordinate subcontractor bids and vendor buyouts, track procurement schedules, identify value engineering opportunities, and help develop a global supplier network focused on quality, landed cost, reliability, and long-term value.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare construction estimates, quantity takeoffs, and cost analyses from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Manage bid solicitation, bid leveling, subcontractor comparisons, buyouts, and vendor coordination.
- Develop procurement schedules and track long-lead materials, equipment, budgets, and delivery timelines.
- Support MEP and electrical estimating, including service upgrades, switchgear, lighting, fire alarms, low-voltage systems, branch wiring, and utility coordination.




- Identify value engineering opportunities, scope gaps, cost risks, and potential schedule delays.
- Research and evaluate international suppliers across India, China, Vietnam, Turkey, Mexico, Poland, and Brazil based on landed cost, quality, certifications, logistics, warranty, and reliability.
- Build procurement dashboards, maintain documentation, and provide clear updates to executive leadership.
- Improve estimating and procurement workflows using data, automation, and AI productivity tools.

Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in U.S. construction estimating, procurement, or preconstruction.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, quantity takeoffs, cost estimation, and MEP systems, particularly electrical scopes.
- Experience with bid management, subcontractor coordination, procurement tracking, or vendor evaluation.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and Advanced Excel; familiarity with Asana, Procore, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
- Excellent English communication, analytical skills, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with U.S.-based teams.

Preferred: Experience with U.S. general contractors, developers, or design-build firms; exposure to multifamily and mixed-use projects, electrical contracting, international sourcing, and supplier negotiations. Willingness to travel to the U.S. is an advantage. What Makes This Prospect Interesting?
