Role Description The Senior CAD Design Engineer is a full-time role based in Belgaum. This position is responsible for leading the creation, refinement, and validation of detailed engineering drawings and 3D CAD models for mechanical components and assemblies. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients to understand requirements, propose design solutions, and ensure manufacturability within cost, quality, and timeline constraints.

Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing design documentation, performing design iterations and optimizations, supporting prototype development, and coordinating with manufacturing team for smooth transition from design to production.



The engineer is also expected to mentor junior team members, contribute to process improvements, and uphold industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong skills in Engineering Drawings and Design Engineering, including the ability to interpret, create, and review detailed technical documentation.

Candidates should possess advanced proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, assemblies, and drafting, with experience in relevant industry-standard software.

Candidates should possess solid Mechanical Engineering knowledge, including materials, manufacturing processes, tolerancing, and structural considerations.

Candidates should possess Product Design skills, with experience taking concepts from initial idea through prototyping to production-ready designs.

Beneficial qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, experience in reverse engineering added advantage or digital manufacturing, familiarity with GD&T; and industry standards, and prior work in a client-facing or consulting environment.

Additional beneficial skills include strong problem-solving abilities, explicit technical communication, ability to work in a hybrid setup, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and mentoring or leadership experience.
