About the Role

IBSFINtech is looking for a hands-on Senior AI Engineer / AI Technical Lead to design and develop enterprise AI applications, dashboards, and product features using Python, LLMs, RAG, LangChain, and LangGraph. In addition to individual technical contribution, the role will provide technical direction, mentoring, and day-to-day guidance to a small group of 24 junior AI engineers. The junior engineers may not report directly to this role; the focus is on technical leadership and delivery support rather than formal people management.

Experience building enterprise-grade solutions and deploying them on cloud infrastructure (OCI preferred) will be valuable.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop AI-powered applications, dashboards, and features using LLMs.
- Build and improve Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, including retrieval quality and grounding.
- Develop AI workflows and orchestration using LangChain and LangGraph.
- Build reliable Python backend services and integrate REST APIs and enterprise systems.
- Guide 24 junior AI engineers through technical discussions, solution design, code reviews, and troubleshooting; formal reporting lines are not required.
- Break down AI initiatives into technical tasks, clarify implementation approaches, and help the team resolve technical blockers.
- Establish and promote coding standards, reusable components, testing practices, documentation, and responsible engineering practices.
- Review architecture and implementation choices for scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, and performance.
- Optimize prompts, retrieval strategies, model usage, latency, and cost where appropriate.




- Support deployment and operation of AI solutions on cloud platforms; Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is preferred.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical AI solutions.
- Stay hands-on with development while helping improve the overall technical capability and delivery quality of the AI team.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5–10 years of relevant software development experience (mandatory), with meaningful hands-on experience building AI/LLM-based applications.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience building backend services.
- Practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and application integration.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing RAG solutions.
- Experience with LangChain and LangGraph or comparable LLM workflow/orchestration frameworks.
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs and enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with vector databases and embedding-based retrieval.
- Experience with Git and cooperative software development practices.
- Experience deploying applications on OCI or another cloud platform.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, guide, or technically support junior engineers, even without direct people-management responsibility.

Good to Have

- Experience building Treasury, Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance, banking, or other enterprise financial products.
- Exposure to enterprise software architecture and technical design.
- Understanding of product security, data privacy, and secure AI application design.
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Experience deploying and monitoring AI applications in production.
