Job Responsibilities Senior SCM Engineer

1. Handle RFQs received from various projects and review technical specifications, BOMs, and drawings.
2. Identify, evaluate, and finalize recent and existing suppliers for pump components and engineering materials.
3. Develop new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
4. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
5. Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements and company procedures.
6. Follow up on all open purchase orders and expedite deliveries to meet project schedules.
7. Monitor and improve supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance.
8. Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Stores, and Project Management teams for material requirements.
9. Arrange logistics and ensure timely delivery of materials to the manufacturing facility.
10. Coordinate with suppliers and Quality teams for material rejections, replacements, and corrective actions.
11. Follow up with Finance and Accounts for supplier payments and resolve invoice-related issues.
12. Maintain procurement records, supplier performance reports,



cost comparison statements, and open PO trackers.

Preferred Industry: API pumps, centrifugal pumps, rotating equipment, or engineering/manufacturing industries.

Educational Qualification:

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- 714 years of relevant experience in SCM, procurement, or sourcing within the API pump, centrifugal pump, rotating equipment, or engineering manufacturing industry.
- MS Office, SAP, AutoCAD exposure is prepared.

- Proactive follow-up and decision-making skills.
- Strong coordination and teamwork across departments.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
