Role Context

Saint Gobain is a large manufacturing organization with multi-plant operations, domestic distribution networks, and global export movements. The SAP TM Consultant will play a key role in optimizing inbound raw material transportation, inter-plant stock transfers, and outbound finished goods distribution.

The role requires hands-on SAP TM configuration experience with strong exposure to integration across production, warehouse, and finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inbound Logistics (Procurement Transportation)

- Configure transportation planning for raw material procurement.
- Integrate SAP TM with SAP MM purchase orders and inbound deliveries.
- Manage vendor-based freight agreements and charge calculation.
- Enable visibility for supplier shipments and dock scheduling alignment.

1. Inter-Plant & Stock Transfer Movements

- Configure transportation for STO-based movements.
- Handle multi-leg transportation scenarios.
- Optimize routing between manufacturing plants and regional warehouses.
- Support transportation planning linked to production schedules.

1. Outbound Finished Goods Distribution

- Integrate with SAP SD outbound delivery processes.
- Configure freight unit building and consolidation strategies.
- Manage carrier selection, tendering, and freight settlement.
- Support export shipment processes where applicable.

1. Freight Cost Management





- Configure charge calculation profiles and settlement documents.
- Ensure FI integration for freight cost posting.
- Support cost allocation across business units / plants.
- Enable freight cost transparency and reporting.

1. System Integration & Optimization

- Work closely with:

o SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) o SAP MM (Procurement)

o SAP PP (Production Planning)

o SAP EWM (Warehouse Management)

o SAP FI/CO (Finance & Costing)

- Support embedded TM in S/4HANA or standalone TM environments.
- Participate in testing cycles (SIT/UAT) and cutover activities.
- Troubleshoot integration and master data issues.

________________________________________ Required Experience & Expertise
- 4–7 years of SAP experience with minimum 3+ years in SAP TM.
- Experience in manufacturing logistics environments is mandatory.
- Solid knowledge of:

o Order-based & Delivery-based transportation o Freight Unit Building Rules o Planning & Optimization (VSR) o Charge Management & Condition Technique o Settlement Management
- Exposure to:

o STO scenarios o Procurement transportation o Multi-plant network configuration
- Experience in at least one full-cycle implementation or large rollout.

Functional Strengths Expected

- Understanding of manufacturing supply chain flows (Supplier → Plant → DC → Customer).
- Ability to align transportation planning with production and dispatch schedules.
- Strong analytical capability in freight cost optimization.
- Experience handling high shipment volumes.

NOTE- LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERED Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
