About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Data Migration Consultant specializing in SAP S/4HANA Finance and Alteryx to support end-to-end financial data migration initiatives for enterprise SAP transformation projects.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP data migration, financial data profiling and cleansing, source-to-target mapping, transformation, SAP S/4HANA migration tools, and financial reconciliation. Strong expertise in Alteryx Designer is essential for building scalable, reusable workflows that ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and auditability throughout the migration lifecycle.

The successful candidate will work closely with SAP Finance functional consultants, business stakeholders, data owners, technical teams, and project management teams to plan and execute migration activities from initial assessment through mock migrations, cutover, reconciliation, and post-migration validation.

Key Responsibilities :

1. SAP S/4HANA Finance Data Migration

- Lead and execute end-to-end data migration activities for SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations and transformation projects.
- Define migration scope, data objects, migration strategy, timelines, dependencies, and execution plans.
- Coordinate data extraction, profiling, cleansing, transformation, validation, loading, and reconciliation activities.
- Participate in migration workshops with Finance, SAP functional, business, and technical teams.
- Execute mock migration cycles, identify defects, resolve data issues, and support cutover and go-live activities.
- Ensure migrated financial data meets business requirements, data quality standards, and audit expectations.

2. Finance Data Objects and Mapping

- Perform source-to-target field-level mapping for SAP S/4HANA Finance data objects.
- Work with financial master data and transactional data, including:
- General Ledger (GL) and Chart of Accounts (CoA)
- Profit Centers and Cost Centers
- Business Partners (BP) and Customer/Vendor Integration (CVI)
- Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
- Fixed Assets and Asset Accounting
- Tax-related master data
- Bank master data and related financial information
- Analyze source-system structures, target-system requirements, mapping rules, transformation logic, and dependencies.
- Collaborate with SAP Finance functional teams to resolve mapping gaps, data inconsistencies, and business-rule exceptions.
- Understand relevant SAP data structures and tables, including ACDOCA, BKPF, BSEG, SKA1, SKB1, LFA1, LFB1, KNA1, and ANLA.

3. Alteryx Data Profiling, Cleansing and Transformation

- Develop, maintain, and optimize Alteryx Designer workflows for large-scale data migration activities.
- Perform data profiling, parsing, cleansing, standardization, validation, deduplication, fuzzy matching, joins, pivots, and transformation.




- Build reusable and parameterized workflows, macros, and mapping tables to support repeatable migration cycles.
- Implement data quality rules, exception handling, reference-data management, and validation checks.
- Identify missing values, duplicate records, inconsistent formats, invalid master data, and other migration risks.
- Optimize workflow performance and implement appropriate logging, traceability, and data lineage practices.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to improve data quality before loading data into SAP S/4HANA.

4. SAP Migration Cockpit and Data Loading

- Execute data loads using SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, including staging-table or direct-transfer approaches where applicable.
- Understand migration object templates, source structures, mapping requirements, dependencies, and load sequencing.
- Prepare and validate migration files or staging data before loading.
- Monitor migration execution, analyze error logs, troubleshoot failed records, and coordinate defect resolution.
- Reprocess corrected records and validate successful loading into the target SAP environment.
- Support mock loads, dress rehearsals, production cutover, and post-go-live data validation.
- Work with SAP functional and technical teams to resolve loading errors and migration object issues.

5. Financial Reconciliation and Data Validation

- Perform pre-migration and post-migration reconciliation to confirm the accuracy and completeness of migrated financial data.
- Reconcile trial balances, General Ledger balances, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, fixed assets, and bank-related data.
- Validate record counts, financial balances, debit/credit totals, opening balances, and key control totals.
- Investigate reconciliation differences and coordinate corrective actions with Finance and SAP teams.
- Prepare reconciliation reports, migration sign-off documentation, issue logs, and audit-ready evidence.
- Ensure migration results meet agreed acceptance criteria and financial control requirements.

6. Migration Planning, Cutover and Stakeholder Coordination

- Develop migration plans, mock-cycle schedules, cutover checklists, issue trackers, and reconciliation templates.
- Coordinate migration dependencies across Finance, SAP functional, technical, data, and business teams.
- Track migration progress, data quality metrics, defects, risks, and outstanding dependencies.
- Support go/no-go assessments, cutover rehearsals, production migration, and stabilization activities.
- Maintain clear documentation of mapping rules, transformation logic, data quality findings, load results, and reconciliation outcomes.
- Communicate migration status, risks, and remediation plans to project stakeholders.





Required Technical Skills :

SAP S/4HANA Finance

- Hands-on experience in SAP data migration, preferably for SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- Strong understanding of Finance master data and transactional data migration.
- Knowledge of GL, CoA, Profit Centers, Cost Centers, Business Partners/CVI, AR/AP, Asset Accounting, Tax, and Bank Master data.
- Familiarity with SAP tables such as ACDOCA, BKPF/BSEG, SKA1/SKB1, LFA1/LFB1, KNA1, and ANLA.
- Practical experience with SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, migration objects, load sequencing, error resolution, and reconciliation.

Alteryx Designer

- Strong hands-on proficiency in Alteryx Designer for data preparation and migration.
- Experience building reusable workflows and macros.
- Proficiency in data profiling, cleansing, joins, parsing, deduplication, fuzzy matching, regular expressions, and pivoting.
- Understanding of data quality rules, mapping tables, reference data, logging, lineage, and workflow optimization.

Data and Reconciliation

- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills for mapping, reconciliation, data validation, and reporting.
- Ability to investigate data discrepancies, resolve migration defects, and maintain accurate documentation.

Experience and Qualifications :

- 5–8 years of relevant SAP data migration experience.
- Experience delivering 1–2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA Finance migration projects.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in migration planning, data mapping, transformation, loading, reconciliation, and cutover.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Valuable to Have :

- Experience with SAP BODS, SAP MDG, or SAP CPI.
- Exposure to Alteryx Server and enterprise workflow management.
- Basic knowledge of SAP Ariba supplier and purchase-order data.
- Experience with SAP ECC-to-S/4HANA migration or multi-system consolidation.
- Familiarity with data governance, financial controls, and audit documentation.
