RLT Solutions is looking for a responsible and experienced Safety Engineer to ensure workplace safety, implement health and safety procedures, and maintain compliance with applicable safety regulations at project sites. The candidate will monitor site activities, identify potential hazards, conduct safety inspections, and ensure safe working practices during project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Safety Management

- Monitor daily site activities and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Identify workplace hazards and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Ensure workers follow safety rules and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
- Ensure protected working practices during installation, construction, and commissioning activities.

1. Health & Safety Compliance

- Implement and monitor workplace Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory safety requirements and project-specific safety standards.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, and incident records.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions for workers.
- Monitor permit-to-work procedures for high-risk activities.

1. Risk Assessment & Incident Management

- Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before work begins.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.




- Monitor emergency preparedness and ensure emergency procedures are communicated to site personnel.
- Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, contractors, and workers on safety matters.

1. Project Site Safety

- Ensure safe execution of activities involving work at height, lifting operations, electrical work, confined spaces, and hot work, where applicable.
- Inspect tools, equipment, scaffolding, and safety arrangements.
- Verify that contractors and subcontractors follow site safety requirements.
- Maintain records of safety training, PPE distribution, inspections, and incidents.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably with a recognised qualification in Industrial Safety.
- Relevant safety certification or diploma in industrial safety is preferred.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
- Good communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work at project sites and coordinate with multiple teams.

Experience

- 1–3 years of relevant experience in industrial safety, construction safety, or project-site HSE is preferred.
- Candidates with relevant experience in industrial or water and wastewater treatment projects will have an advantage.
