Position - Staff Nurse Incharge

Qualification - BSC Nursing / Post Graduation Diploma in Nursing

Location- Pune - Viman Nagar

Experience - 4 to 10 Years

Job Timing - 9 am to 6 pm

1.0. Role Objective

Nursing Service:

- Participates in the adherence to the philosophy of the centre in general & those specific to the Nursing services.
- Determines goals, aims, objectives and policies of the nursing services. Implementation of center policies and rules across CSSD, OT and all nursing units.
- Decides and recommends equipment & material requirement for smooth running of the center.
- Organize & plan nursing care activities of the departments according to the hospital policies & service needs as per the QAI/NABH/JCI or any other accreditation guidelines.
- Guide the nursing team, ICN, etc. in planning & implementation of various activities required by the department.
- Comply & submit nursing statistics & reports to the reporting head.Develop learning content for nursing educational programs.
- Conduct core competency for the newly joined staff nurse.
- Conduct in service classes & hands on training program for the nurses to improve the quality of nursing care.
- Arrange staff for participating health care related workshop, seminars etc. inside or outside the hospital.
- Supervise student nurses and demonstrate patient care in clinical areas of the hospital.
- Maintain records related to Nursing Quality indicators and Reviewing nursing manuals for nurses in clinical areas. Contributes to the strategic planning process day to day operation, resource allocation and attainment of goals for the assigned department.
- Accepts organizational accountability for the supervision of nursing services.
- Ensures the ongoing evaluation of the staff for their quality and appropriateness of care.
- Demonstrates clinical knowledge in aspects of care provided to patient and acts as a resource to the staff.




- Ensures that documentation of patient care is done in accordance with the Indira IVF Hospital Pvt. Ltd. nursing standards and policies.

Performance Management:

- Plan for performance management system in beginning of the financial year.
- Track performance levels of all nursing units as per prepared format in a clear, open and honest environment.
- Participate in performance review process.
- To do Evaluation and Performance Appraisal of the Nursing Staff and prepare confidential staff reports.
- Comply with the overall performance management system in the hospital.

Audit and Quality Improvement:

- Plan and implement strong audit activities to ensure sustainable quality improvement.
- Develop various formats for capturing data of audit & train nurses to do the audit periodically.
- Ensure stock verification audit of all units. Ensuring crash carts are well equipped & replaced in each shift with check list. Narcotics are kept under secure custody & documented. All high cost value items are kept under control by taking account & documenting it separately.
- Assists in implementation of programs to improve the quality of care delivered to patient.
- Evaluate nature of care required in each unit & reinforce the principles of good ward management.
- Monitors compliance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures.
- Undertake clinical audit at unit level/ across group centres whenever required.

Training and Development:

- Create an environment that fosters professional growth by teaching learning activities.
- Identify the training needs of staff and formulate a plan.
- Ensure that appropriate induction training is provided to all new nurses to comply with service requirement.
- Provide the privileging to each nursing staff based on their competencies & area of work.
- Ensure that core competency assessments are carried out periodically as per the norms.
- Supports in all training initiatives like CNE programs, BLS, Soft skills, etc.
- Conduct & attend the departmental & interdepartmental meetings as needed in time to time.
