Job Overview

- Support quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing processes
- Ensure products meet defined quality standards and customer specifications
- Assist in maintaining and improving Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Work closely with production and other teams to ensure consistent product quality.
- Gain hands-on exposure to flexible packaging processes and quality tools

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) per ISO 9001, including supplier audits, corrective action plans (CAPA), and compliance documentation like SOPs, inspection reports, and checklists.
- Lead on-site quality inspections (in-process and final), root cause analysis using 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys, ensuring products meet technical specs and customer requirements.
- Manage vendor quality through routine audits, incoming material inspections, and supplier development to achieve zero-defect goals. Monitor KPIs including NCRs, defect rates, rejection, rework, wastage, and customer complaints; drive data-backed improvement initiatives. Oversee team training on TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma; foster a culture of continuous improvement and Lean methodologies.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve shop-floor quality issues and optimize processes.
- Prepare quality reports,



handle certifications, and ensure on-time project delivery within budget while upholding safety and regulatory standards.
- Perform hands-on product inspections per defined standards and participate in cross-functional Lean/Six Sigma projects for measurable gains.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical / Production / Polymer or related field)
- Mandatory experience in flexible packaging manufacturing industry or a relevant manufacturing sector.
- Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO standards) Knowledge of quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, and basic SPC is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Positive communication and coordination abilities.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing workplace and learn shop floor processes

Technical Skills

- Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or similar standards).
- Understanding of quality tools such as 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone (Ishikawa), and FMEA.
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and basic data analysis Knowledge of inspection tools and testing methods used in manufacturing.
- Basic understanding of flexible packaging processes such as extrusion, printing, lamination, or slitting (preferred).
- Awareness of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts (preferred). Ability to work with MS Excel for quality data tracking and reporting
