Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections of aluminium cast components. The candidate should have practical knowledge of dimensional inspection instruments, engineering drawings, GD&T;, material testing, and casting quality control, with an understanding of GDC and LPDC processes.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.

Key Skills & Requirements
- Experience in in-process and final casting inspections.
- Hands-on knowledge of Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings, including projection views.
- Knowledge of GD&T; principles and dimensional tolerances.
- Practical knowledge of spectrometer and hardness tester for material verification.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and report casting defects.
- Knowledge of inspection methods, quality standards, and documentation.
- Understanding of GDC (Gravity Die Casting) and LPDC (Low Pressure Die Casting) processes.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-process, final, and periodic inspections of aluminium cast components.
- Perform dimensional checks using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge,



and other precision instruments.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to verify component dimensions and specifications.
- Apply GD&T; principles to ensure compliance with drawing requirements.
- Perform or coordinate material verification using spectrometer and hardness tester, as applicable.
- Identify casting defects such as porosity, shrinkage, cracks, blowholes, and dimensional deviations.
- Record inspection results and report non-conformities to the concerned departments.
- Provide quality feedback to Production and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor GDC and LPDC processes to ensure component quality and process compliance.
- Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and other relevant documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, and Quality teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with established quality procedures, customer specifications, and applicable standards.
- Support rejection analysis and continuous improvement activities to reduce defects.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Candidates with experience in aluminium casting or foundry operations will be preferred.
- Practical experience with dimensional inspection and material testing equipment.
- Ability to identify casting defects and work effectively with production teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
