Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Playwright Automation Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in test automation, proficient in Playwright with TypeScript, Python, SQL, and REST API testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reliable automation solutions to ensure the quality, performance, and functionality of web applications and APIs.

Candidates with knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) will have an added advantage. The candidate must be comfortable working in the EST time zone and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks to improve test coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of web applications.
- Develop Python scripts to support test automation, data processing, and testing utilities.
- Perform REST API testing, including request/response validation, status code verification, and error handling.
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate database records and ensure data integrity.
- Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot defects in collaboration with development and QA teams.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines, where applicable.




- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions.
- Participate in test planning, code reviews, defect triage, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support testing of AI-powered applications and RAG-based solutions, where required.
- Coordinate with globally distributed teams and work according to EST time-zone requirements.

Mandatory Skills

- Playwright with TypeScript: Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Python: Positive programming and scripting skills.
- SQL: Ability to write queries for database validation and data verification.
- REST APIs: Experience in API testing, response validation, and troubleshooting.
- Time-Zone Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work in the EST time zone.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI) concepts and applications.
- Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture and workflows.
- Exposure to testing AI-powered applications, LLM-based solutions, and AI-generated responses.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience and Qualifications

- 2–4 years of relevant experience in software testing and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript is essential.
- Practical knowledge of Python, SQL, and REST API testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
