We are looking for Purchase Manager for Valsad Factory.

Experience - Minimum 4-7 Years

Education - B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical

Job Location - Valsad, Gujarat

Duty Hours - 10 Hrs. - 8.00 AM to 6:00 PM (6 Days Working)

Reporting To: Operations Director, General Manager, or Chief Operating Officer

Industry Focus: Cable & Wire Manufacturing, Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

1. Raw Material & Inventory Management

- Procure core cable-manufacturing inputs, including copper rods, aluminum rods, PVC/XLPE compounds, GI wire/strip for armouring, tapes, drums, and packaging materials.
- Coordinate with production planning and inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels, preventing line stoppages or excess holding costs.
- Monitor metal price fluctuations (LME - London Metal Exchange trends for copper and aluminum) to time bulk purchases strategically.

1. Sourcing & Vendor Negotiation

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable domestic and global suppliers for raw materials and engineering spares.
- Negotiate pricing, credit terms, volume discounts, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Conduct periodic supplier audits and performance evaluations based on quality,



delivery timeliness, and pricing consistency.

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure incoming raw materials comply with IS, IEC, or international cable standards.
- Coordinate with the Production & Planning departments to align procurement schedules with shifting manufacturing orders.
- Partner with Finance & Accounts for timely vendor payments, budget tracking, and variance analysis.

1. Cost Optimization & Risk Mitigation

- Drive cost-reduction initiatives through value engineering, alternate vendor development, and bulk contracting.
- Mitigate supply chain risks by maintaining backup vendors for critical raw materials.
- Oversee import documentation, customs clearance, and logistics if sourcing raw metals or specialized compounds internationally.
