Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end procurement operations and develop strategic sourcing plans for transformer manufacturing.
- Oversee procurement of CRGO steel, copper, aluminium, transformer oil, insulation materials, bushings, tap changers, and other critical components.
- Drive cost optimization through commercial negotiations, competitive sourcing, and long-term vendor development.
- Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
- Plan material procurement in coordination with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, and Engineering teams.
- Monitor procurement budgets, inventory levels, market trends, and supplier performance.
- Lead and manage the Purchase team,



ensuring productive processes and timely execution of procurement activities.
- Develop procurement MIS, cost analysis, and vendor performance reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval processes, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain / Materials Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 13+ years of experience in Purchase / Procurement, including managerial responsibilities.
- Mandatory experience in a Transformer Manufacturing Company.
