Purchase Head / Procurement Head – Construction Site

Location: Dwarka, Delhi NCR (In office)

Salary: ₹12 – 15 LPA

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Head / Procurement Head to independently manage procurement for a construction site in Dwarka. The ideal candidate has robust hands-on knowledge of construction material procurement – where and how to source materials at competitive prices, negotiating with suppliers, managing deliveries and ensuring uninterrupted availability of materials at site.

For the initial 6 months, the selected candidate will manage the purchase/procurement function independently at the site, with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently manage end-to-end purchase and procurement activities for the construction site.
- Source construction materials from reliable and cost-effective suppliers.
- Develop and maintain a strong vendor/supplier network across Delhi NCR and nearby markets.
- Identify the right sources for materials and negotiate the best possible rates and payment terms.
- Handle procurement of cement, steel and reinforcement, sand, aggregate, bricks/blocks, plumbing and electrical materials, hardware and consumables, construction chemicals, safety materials, tools and other site requirements.
- Compare quotations, negotiate prices and ensure cost-effective purchasing.




- Ensure materials are purchased as per required quality, quantity and specifications.
- Coordinate with the site/project team on material requirements and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid delays in construction activities.
- Monitor purchase orders, vendor commitments, deliveries and pending requirements.
- Build long-term relationships with reliable vendors and identify alternate suppliers where required.
- Maintain purchase records, quotations, comparative statements and vendor documentation.
- Control procurement costs and minimise unnecessary expenditure.
- Resolve issues related to quality, shortages, delays, billing and vendor payments.
- Track prevailing market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Important Requirement

We are specifically looking for a hands-on procurement professional who has personally handled construction-site purchasing, knows the supplier market, can negotiate aggressively and can independently manage the complete purchase function.

Candidates from a pure builder background who have mainly worked in corporate procurement, or handled procurement through established internal vendor networks, will not be preferred.
