Project Manager (Mechanical)

Location: Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra

Job Summary

Looking for an experienced Project Manager (Mechanical) to manage and execute mechanical and fire protection system upgradation works. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, site execution, contractor coordination, quality control, safety compliance, progress monitoring, and timely completion of the project as per approved specifications and client requirements.

Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering may be considered with relevant project management experience.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

- 10+ years of experience in mechanical project execution, preferably in industrial or manufacturing facilities.
- Relevant experience in fire protection system installation, modification, upgradation, or commissioning.
- Experience handling industrial projects, preferably manufacturing plants or automotive facilities.
- Solid knowledge of fire hydrant systems, sprinkler systems,



fire pumps, piping networks, valves, and associated equipment, relevant to the project scope.
- Experience in site execution, contractor management, project scheduling, and progress monitoring.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and installation layouts.
- Knowledge of quality control, testing and commissioning, and site safety requirements.
- Strong coordination, reporting, problem-solving, and team management skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience working at automotive manufacturing plants or large industrial facilities.
- Previous involvement in fire system upgradation, retrofitting, or brownfield projects.
- Experience coordinating with client engineering teams, consultants, and multiple contractors.
- Familiarity with applicable Indian fire safety standards and relevant NFPA standards.
