Role Summary

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead delivery of our banking software product and its implementation at client banks. You will work with product and engineering to ship releases on time and at quality, and act as the single point of accountability to clients from requirements and fit-gap through UAT, go-live and stabilization. The role suits someone who knows how banks buy, deploy and run software, and who can protect the product while meeting client commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Product development delivery

- Manage product development with engineering, QA and design: release planning, iteration cadence, backlog prioritization with the product owner and release readiness.

- Translate client and market needs into product requirements, separating what belongs in the core product from client-specific configuration or customization.

- Maintain integrated plans for product releases and client implementations, covering dependencies, capacity and milestones.

- Drive quality: test strategy, defect triage, performance and security testing, and release sign-off.

- Protect product architecture and avoid one-off client forks that raise long-term maintenance cost.

Client engagement and requirements

- Be the primary delivery contact for client sponsors, business teams and IT; run kick-offs, workshops and steering committees.

- Lead requirements and fit-gap sessions with client business and technology teams; document gaps, workarounds and change requests.

- Set and manage client expectations on scope, timelines and dependencies; escalate early with options.





- Coordinate client-side inputs: environments, integrations with core banking and other systems, data migration, security reviews and regulatory approvals.

Implementation and go-live

- Own the implementation plan: setting setup, configuration, integration, data migration, UAT, training, cutover, go-live and hypercare.

- Manage client UAT, defect resolution and formal acceptance sign-offs.

- Work with client infrastructure, information security, compliance and audit teams on requirements such as RBI guidelines, data localisation and VAPT.

- Run go-live readiness reviews, cutover and rollback planning; own stabilisation and handover to support.

- Feed implementation learnings into the product backlog and reusable implementation playbooks.

Commercials and scope control

- Own implementation budgets and effort tracking;

- Manage change requests with clear impact analysis; protect fixed-price and milestone commitments.

- Support pre-sales with estimates, plans and solution scoping; track milestone billing with Finance.

Team leadership

- Lead cross-functional teams across product, development, QA, implementation consultants and support.





- Coordinate partners and system integrators involved in client implementations.

- Mentor team leads; build reusable templates and delivery playbooks.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- 1215 years in software product or banking technology delivery, including at least 5 years leading product development and client implementations for banks or financial institutions.

- Delivered at least three end-to-end implementations of a banking product or platform at client sites, from fit-gap to go-live.

- Working knowledge of banking domains.

- Hands-on with Agile, Scrum or hybrid delivery, release management and tools such as Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps.

- Experience with integration (APIs, messaging), data migration, environments and cutover planning.

- Comfortable with senior client stakeholders; strong communication, negotiation and expectation management.

- Commercial awareness across fixed-price, time-and-material and change-request models.

Preferred Qualifications

- PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, SAFe or equivalent certification.

- Prior experience at a banking software vendor, product company or consulting firm.

- Exposure to cloud and SaaS deployments, DevSecOps and API-led integration.
