Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day fabrication and production activities for boiler components, pressure parts, piping spools, structural fabrication, and related industrial equipment. The candidate will ensure protected, timely, quality-focused execution of production plans while coordinating manpower, materials, machines, inspection requirements, and dispatch readiness.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, allocate, and supervise daily production activities across fabrication, welding, drilling, cutting, assembly, finishing, and dispatch-preparation areas.
- Execute production schedules as per job cards, drawings, BOMs, delivery priorities, and client requirements.
- Assign work to welders, fitters, fabricators, helpers, and operators; monitor productivity, attendance, discipline, and work quality.
- Ensure fabrication is carried out strictly as per approved drawings, weld procedures, dimensions, material grades, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with Design, Planning, Quality, Stores, Purchase, and Dispatch teams for material availability, drawings, inspection clearance, and timely completion.
- Monitor raw-material consumption, work-in-progress, rework, scrap, tooling, consumables, and production losses.
- Ensure proper use and upkeep of fabrication machinery, welding equipment, cranes, lifting tools, measuring instruments, and workshop facilities.
- Enforce safety procedures, PPE usage, housekeeping, fire-safety practices, and safe material-handling practices on the shop floor.
- Support welder qualification, weld visual inspection, dimensional inspection, NDT coordination, and rectification of quality observations.
- Maintain production records, daily progress reports, manpower reports, material reconciliation, and dispatch-status updates.




- Identify production bottlenecks, propose corrective actions, and support continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and cost control.
- Train and guide shop-floor personnel on work methods, safety, quality standards, and company procedures.
- Escalate major delays, material shortages, quality issues, equipment breakdowns, or manpower constraints to management with recommended solutions.

Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Production, Fabrication, Welding Technology, or a related discipline; BE/B.Tech Mechanical is preferable.
- 2–6 years of experience in boiler manufacturing, pressure-part fabrication, heavy fabrication, piping, structural fabrication, or a similar engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding processes, pressure parts, coils, tubes, headers, drums, supports, steam lines, and shop-floor quality requirements.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings, BOMs, weld symbols, dimensional tolerances, and job cards.
- Working knowledge of WPS/PQR, welder qualification, visual inspection, NDT requirements, and IBR-related documentation will be an advantage.
- Good leadership, manpower-handling, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic production/reporting software.
- Willingness to work extended hours or shifts when required to meet project and delivery deadlines.
