QUALIFICATION: B.Tech / B.E/Diploma. in Mechanical Engineering

EXPERIENCE: 15 to 25 years (preferably in metal fabrication, handicrafts or export manufacturing)

LOCATION: Noida

BUDGET: Upto 12 Lpa

ABOUT THE ROLE:-

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Merchandiser with a background in Mechanical Engineering to lead our product development, costing, buyer coordination, and technical handover to production. This role combines engineering precision with buyer management to ensure metal handicraft orders are manufactured correctly, on budget, and on schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:-

- Technical Review & Sampling: Analyze buyer designs, tech packs or reference photos. Evaluate manufacturing feasibility, material selection (brass, copper, iron, aluminum, SS), and production methodology.
- Costing & Bill of Materials (BOM): Calculate precise raw material weight, scrap allowances, cycle times, hardware specifications, surface finish area (plating/powder coating), and packaging specs to generate accurate order quotes.
- Buyer Communication: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients. Explain structural/finishing modifications, communicate production timelines, and manage sample approvals.





* Production Handover & Tech Packs: Convert approved buyer samples into complete Technical Production Sheet/Job Cards and Bill of Materials (BOM) with full dimensional tolerances, assembly sequences, and quality standards for workshop craftsmen.

- Vendor & Process Coordination: Work with outside processors for specialized processes (e.g., laser cutting, stamping, specialized electroplating, anodizing, lacquer curing).

* Quality Assurance Standards: Define dimensional and functional quality checkpoints at raw fabrication, pre-finishing, and final assembly stages.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:-

- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Robust knowledge of sheet metal forming, welding (TIG/MIG), casting , turning/machining, and surface finishing techniques.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and software such as AutoCAD or similar (plus MS Excel for costing/BOMs).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail and cost optimization.
