We are looking for Head of Department (Product Development & Production Engineering)

Department: Product / Operations / R&D;

Location: Noida

Experience: 1215 years’ in ITS, IoT, Automotive, or Smart Infrastructure. 3+ years in AI or Video Analytics.

Qualifications

- Engineering degree in Electronics/Electrical/CS/Mechatronics; specialization in embedded systems, AI, or computer vision is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of AI/ML, ITS, and real-time video analytics.
- Proven product development, launching complex hardware-software products and leadership experience.
- Knowledge of YOLO, OpenCV, TensorFlow, NVIDIA Jetson, and Edge AI preferred.

Key Responsibilities Product Development (ITS + AI/Video Analytics Focused)

- Lead the design and development of ITS products such as smart traffic controllers, vehicle detection systems, ANPR cameras, incident detection platforms, VMS displays, and integrated control center solutions.
- Drive integration of AI/ML algorithms and computer vision for applications including automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), real-time traffic analysis, violation detection, and predictive traffic modeling.
- Collaborate with R&D;, data science, software, and hardware teams to translate market and government requirements into deployable, AI-powered ITS solutions.
- Ensure all products meet relevant standards and certifications (IRC, MoRTH, BIS, CE, RoHS, etc.).
- Oversee development of MVPs, prototyping, field validation, and continuous performance optimization.

Production & Scalability

- Develop robust and scalable manufacturing strategies for hardware-software integrated systems.
- Manage assembly lines, production partners, and internal/external testing facilities.
- Ensure production efficiency,



cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery across multiple projects and tenders.
- Oversee quality control procedures including FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).

AI System Readiness

- Work with AI teams to ensure AI models (e.g., for object detection, behavior analysis, anomaly detection) are optimized for edge deployment.
- Support integration of cloud/edge infrastructure for live video feeds, analytics dashboards, and central control systems.
- Ensure cybersecurity and data privacy compliance in all AI-enabled ITS deployments.

Team & Leadership

- Build and lead cross-functional teams comprising hardware engineers, embedded developers, data scientists, software developers, QA, and production managers.
- Foster a collaborative setting focused on technical innovation, execution, and operational excellence.
- Align product and production roadmaps with broader business and technology strategies.

Quality, Risk & Compliance

- Optimize production costs and maintain healthy margins while ensuring high product reliability and uptime.
- Implement quality assurance protocols for both physical devices and AI software performance.
- Proactively assess and mitigate risks related to manufacturing delays, supply chain issues, and AI model drift or performance degradation.

Vendor & Supply Chain Management

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with component vendors, AI solution providers, contract manufacturers.
- Negotiate terms related to pricing, lead times, SLAs, and supply reliability.
- Oversee procurement and inventory planning in alignment with tender timelines and project delivery milestones.
