Analyst/Senior Analyst Procurement & Travel Amex & P2P

Shift Timings: UK Hours - 12:30 PM to 9.30 pm

Experience: 10-12 years into P2P

Location: Thane

Work Mode: Hybrid

Reporting To: Team Leader

Experience

- 10 to 12 years of experience in Financial Operations, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Expenses/Corporate Card Administration, or Shared Services environments.
- Solid experience in exception management and financial control processes.
- Experience supporting process improvement, transformation, or automation initiatives.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar finance platforms.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills required.
- Exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, Alteryx, VBA, Power Query, or other automation tools preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Ownership

- Perform monthly operational activities including file uploads, data mapping, exception management, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with established SLAs, process controls, and compliance requirements.
- Support the resolution of complex operational issues and escalations.
- Drive process standardization and best practice implementation across teams and geographies.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery.

Reconciliation & Financial Controls

- Investigate, analyse, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and aged items.
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring exceptions and control failures.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness across all assigned processes.
- Support audit requests and control reviews by providing required documentation and evidence.

Stakeholder Management

- Build effective working relationships with procurement teams and business users.
- Provide timely updates on operational issues, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure a high level of customer service and responsiveness to stakeholder queries.

Quality & Continuous Improvement





- Perform quality reviews and identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development and maintenance of process documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
- Drive standardisation and adherence to best practices across supported processes.
- Proactively identify operational risks and recommend mitigating controls.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual, repetitive activities within corporate card and P2P processes.
- Support development and implementation of solutions using Power BI, Power Automate, VBA, Power Query, Alteryx, or RPA tools.
- Monitor automation performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and control effectiveness.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements, workflow changes, and automation deployments.
- Track and report productivity gains, control improvements, and operational benefits resulting from automation initiatives.

Reporting & Analytics

- Develop and maintain operational dashboards and performance metrics.
- Analyse trends across card spend, aged balances, exceptions, and service volumes.
- Support capacity planning and workload analysis activities.

- Experience in Shared Services or Global Business Services environments.
- Oracle ERP / SAP / Finance Systems.
- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, Data Analysis).
- Power BI and Dashboard Reporting.
