Proxima Consulting is looking for an accomplished Principal Consultant – Operational Excellence to lead high-impact business and operational transformation engagements across the manufacturing sector.

We are seeking a seasoned professional who combines deep manufacturing expertise, strong business development capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in productivity, profitability, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Acquisition & Business Development

- Lead business development initiatives by working closely with the Pre-Sales team to identify and convert potential consulting opportunities.
- Engage with promoters, CEOs, and senior business leaders to understand their business challenges and develop compelling value propositions.

2. Client Engagement & Relationship Management

- Work closely with client leadership teams to diagnose business challenges, identify transformation opportunities, and establish explicit project objectives.
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships through strategic advisory, stakeholder engagement, and consistent value delivery.

3. Project Delivery & Execution

- Lead end-to-end execution of Operational Excellence and Business Transformation projects, ensuring achievement of agreed project goals and measurable business outcomes.




- Drive initiatives covering cost optimization, productivity enhancement, process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, quality improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure sustainable implementation of transformation initiatives through effective change management and capability development.

Desired Profile

- Education: B.Tech / B.E. from a reputed engineering institution.
- Experience: Minimum 18+ years of professional experience, predominantly in manufacturing operations, business transformation, and operational excellence.
- Certification: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt – Mandatory.
- Transformation Expertise: Proven track record of successfully leading business and operational transformation projects across manufacturing organizations.
- Business Impact: Demonstrated success in delivering quantifiable improvements in EBITDA, manufacturing costs, productivity, quality, and asset utilization.
- Leadership Capabilities: Robust consulting mindset, commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and ability to influence CXO-level decision-makers.
