Role & responsibilities

- Prepare and monitor production schedules for fabrication, machining, and assembly shops.

- Ensure production activities are aligned with project timelines and delivery commitments.

- Perform capacity planning and optimize manpower, machines, and resources.

- Work on SAP PP, MM, and PM modules for production planning and material management.

- Maintain BOMs, routings, work orders, and inventory records in SAP.

- Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Production, Quality, and Project teams for smooth manufacturing operations.

- Monitor shop floor progress and resolve planning bottlenecks.

- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and tools.

- Track production performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

- Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and productivity improvement projects.

Preferred candidate profile





- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related discipline.

- 8+ years of experience in Production Planning within Machine Building, Capital Equipment, Heavy Engineering, or Industrial Manufacturing.

- Robust hands-on experience in SAP PP, MM, and PM modules.

- Good understanding of fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly processes.

- Experience in capacity planning, inventory control, and material management.

- Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

- AutoCAD knowledge will be an added advantage.
