- Consult IT Managers, Project Managers and Solution Architects with regards to technical feasibility and best-practices in Windchill. Prepare and support strategic technology decisions.
- Provide technical leadership to Windchill development teams (both inhouse and external). Define coding standards, enforce best practices, and conduct code reviews.
- Design, implement and maintain flexible software architectures as a foundation for customizations and interfaces.
- Define quality gates, establish quality assurance and monitoring processes.
- Continously adapt development / build / deployment processes towards up-to-date standards and principles, e.g. DevOps, in close collaboration with the application infrastructure team.
- Support the Problem Management of the Windchill production environment.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest market innovations, automation methods, and AI integrations.
Preferred candidate profile
- Very strong knowledge of large-scale Windchill customizations and integrations.
- Solid knowledge of Java programming and Java Web Application Frameworks including JSP, Spring and AJAX.
- Strong knowledge of IT architecture, integrations and related technologies (e.g. SOAP, ODATA, SQL, Data Integration).
- Knowledge of Windchill system administration, infrastructure, build and deployment.
- Excellence in agile IT project management (methods, roles, tools).
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Robust analytical and conceptual skills to design complex technical solutions.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and deploying Windchill customizations and integrations.
- Experience in designing, developing and maintaining technical architectures for efficient and effective CI/CD operations.
- Experience in managing and steering external service providers and / or a development team.
