About the Role

Devi Polymers is looking for an experienced Plant Manager to take charge of its compression and injection moulding operations, including post-processing and finishing.

The person will be accountable for production output, quality, delivery, manufacturing costs, machine utilisation and workforce productivity. The role requires hands-on shop-floor leadership and experience translating customer orders into achievable production plans.

Key Responsibilities

- Own production and delivery: Plan and execute production against the open order book, aligning machine capacity, mould availability, materials and manpower with customer delivery dates.
- Drive productivity: Set and review targets for machine utilisation, cycle times, output per shift and operator throughput across moulding and post-processing.
- Control manufacturing costs: Manage labour, overtime, energy, consumables, scrap and rework against budgets and product cost targets.
- Ensure product quality: Work with quality and technical teams to control process parameters, reduce rejections and resolve recurring defects and customer complaints.
- Improve machine and mould availability: Coordinate preventive maintenance, breakdown resolution and mould upkeep to reduce downtime and interruptions.
- Lead the workforce: Manage supervisors, operators and contract manpower across shifts; strengthen skills, accountability, discipline and shift handovers.
- Manage post-processing: Ensure deflashing, finishing, inspection and packing keep pace with moulding output and dispatch requirements.
- Drive corrective actions: Review production losses,



quality issues and downtime trends; assign owners and follow through on interim and permanent corrective actions.
- Maintain reliable reporting: Ensure accurate daily records and review target versus actual production, rejection, downtime, manpower and delivery performance.
- Maintain safe operations: Enforce shop-floor safety, housekeeping, standard operating procedures and applicable quality system requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Experience managing compression and/or injection moulding operations, preferably with thermoset materials such as SMC and DMC.
- Strong knowledge of moulding processes, process settings, moulds, machinery and defect troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to improve output, reduce rejection and downtime, and meet delivery commitments.
- Experience in production planning, capacity assessment, manpower deployment and manufacturing cost control.
- Ability to lead supervisors and operators across multiple shifts.
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance, root-cause analysis, ISO quality systems and continuous improvement.
- Robust coordination skills across production, quality, maintenance, procurement and dispatch.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 per month
