1. Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and compassionate Physiotherapist to assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic rehabilitation services. The candidate will work with children with special needs, persons with disabilities, and other patients requiring physical rehabilitation to improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional independence.
1. Key Responsibilities

A. Patient Assessment & Treatment

- Assess patients' physical conditions, mobility, muscle strength, posture, and functional abilities.
- Develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on assessment findings and prescribed goals.
- Provide exercises and therapeutic interventions to improve movement, flexibility, strength, and coordination.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.

B. Special Needs & Disability Rehabilitation

- Provide physiotherapy to children with cerebral palsy, developmental delays, and other physical disabilities, within the scope of professional competence.
- Support gross motor development, balance, posture, and functional mobility.
- Assist with positioning, transfers, mobility training, and the use of appropriate assistive devices.
- Coordinate with occupational therapists, special educators, psychologists, and other rehabilitation professionals.

C. Patient & Caregiver Education





- Educate parents and caregivers on home exercise programs, secure handling, positioning, and mobility support.
- Demonstrate appropriate therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques.
- Encourage patient participation and family involvement in rehabilitation goals.

D. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain patient assessment records, treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up records.
- Prepare periodic reports on patient outcomes and rehabilitation activities.
- Ensure confidentiality and accurate maintenance of patient information.

E. Equipment & Safety

- Ensure proper use, cleanliness, and maintenance of physiotherapy equipment.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and professional ethical standards.
- Identify risks during therapy and take appropriate precautions.

F. Team Coordination

- Coordinate with doctors, special educators, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in case discussions, rehabilitation camps, and institutional activities.
- Support awareness programs related to disability prevention, rehabilitation, and physical wellness.

1. Educational Qualification

- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) required.
- Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)

- Valid registration with the applicable professional council or authority, where required.

1. Experience

- Freshers may apply.
- Experience in pediatric physiotherapy, cerebral palsy, disability rehabilitation, or special-needs institutions will be preferred.

- Good communication and caregiver counselling skills.

1. Reporting Structure

The Physiotherapist will report to the designated medical officer, rehabilitation head, or authorized management of Kalyanam Karoti.
