Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pediatrician role based in Pakyong. The Pediatrician will provide comprehensive primary care for infants, children, and adolescents, including conducting routine check-ups, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and managing chronic conditions.
Daily responsibilities include taking patient histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans. The role involves close collaboration with other physicians and healthcare professionals, counseling families on preventive care, nutrition, and developmental milestones, and maintaining accurate medical records.
The Pediatrician is expected to participate in neonatal care when needed and ensure high standards of patient safety and quality of care.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in clinical Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage a broad range of pediatric health conditions.
- Demonstrated expertise in Pediatrics, including growth and development, preventive care, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Experience or training in Neonatology, with skills in caring for newborns and handling common neonatal issues.
- Ability to work effectively with Physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, fostering clear communication and collaborative care.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completed pediatric residency or equivalent postgraduate training.
- Valid medical license and registration with relevant medical council, or eligibility to obtain such registration.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and patient safety.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered, culturally sensitive approach to care.
- Willingness to work on-site in Pakyong and adapt to local healthcare settings and community needs.
