Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Administrator to manage, secure, optimize, and support enterprise Power BI environments. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Power BI Service administration, workspace and access management, data governance, troubleshooting, and Power Platform integration.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer Power BI Service, including workspaces, user access, permissions, and report publishing.

- Manage security and governance through Row-Level Security (RLS), role-based access control, and access policies.

- Troubleshoot dataset refresh failures, gateway connectivity, data-source credentials, and Power BI Service issues.

- Optimize Power BI reports and semantic models using advanced DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and performance-tuning techniques.

- Work with Import and DirectQuery connectivity modes and support enterprise reporting requirements.

- Manage deployment processes across development, testing, and production environments.

- Monitor refresh schedules, dataflows, semantic models, and report availability.

- Collaborate with business users, data engineering teams, and technical stakeholders to resolve complex issues.





- Support Power Apps and Power Automate integrations with Power BI solutions.

- Document administration procedures, troubleshooting steps, governance practices, and technical resolutions.

- Handle L3 escalations, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend preventive measures.

Required Skills

- Solid hands-on experience with Power BI Service administration.

- Advanced DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.

- Knowledge of RLS, workspace security, governance, and access management.

- Experience with gateways, scheduled refresh, credentials, and troubleshooting.

- Understanding of Import and DirectQuery modes and report performance optimization.

- Experience with deployment processes and enterprise reporting environments.

- Working knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Power BI tenant settings and administration.

- Exposure to Premium/Fabric capacity management.

- Experience with enterprise governance, deployment pipelines, and production support.

- Ability to independently investigate and resolve complex L3 issues.
