We are looking for curious, detail-oriented interns to join our technical team in Visakhapatnam.

Position Overview

We are seeking two Package Development Interns to work with our Packaging Development and Quality teams. You will support the selection, development, testing, and validation of packaging materials for our products, and help evaluate packaging vendors and cost options. This role suits someone who wants hands-on exposure to packaging technology, food-packaging compliance, and supplier coordination in a growing food company.

Key Responsibilities

- Packaging Development Support: Assist in developing and trialling packaging formats (versatile laminates, pouches, rigid containers, cartons, secondary and tertiary packaging) for new and existing products.
- Material Evaluation: Help assess packaging materials for barrier properties (oxygen and moisture), seal strength, tensile strength, thickness, and compatibility with the food product.
- Shelf-Life & Pack Validation: Support shelf-life studies and transit/drop tests to confirm packaging integrity and product protection over time.
- Vendor & Market Research: Research packaging suppliers and alternatives, collect samples and quotations,



and compile cost and performance comparisons.
- Sustainability & Cost Optimisation: Explore recyclable, lighter, or lower-cost packaging options without compromising food safety or quality.
- Regulatory & Labelling Compliance: Assist in checking packaging against FSSAI requirements (food-contact material norms, labelling, declarations) and maintaining supplier compliance documents.
- Specifications & Documentation: Prepare and maintain packaging specification sheets, test records, and trial reports in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with R&D;, Quality, Production, Procurement, and Marketing/Design teams, and follow up with vendors on samples and artwork.
- Plant Trials: Observe and record packaging line trials, noting machine settings, sealing parameters, defects, and improvement opportunities.

Eligibility & Requirements
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed B.Tech / M.Tech / B.Sc / M.Sc in Packaging Technology, Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Polymer/Plastics Technology, or a related field. Diploma/PG in Packaging (e.g., IIP) is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of packaging materials (plastics, laminates, paper/board, glass, metal) and food packaging functions.
- Computer Skills: Working knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with packaging design tools (Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW) is an advantage.
- Good to Have: Awareness of FSSAI and food-contact material regulations; exposure to packaging testing equipment or plant internships.
- Attributes: Analytical mindset, attention to detail, strong communication and follow-up skills, willingness to work on the plant floor, and a commitment to food safety and quality standards.
