Working Days: 5 Days a week

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and creative NPD professional with a strong understanding of the rice industry to identify new product opportunities, develop new SKUs, and support product launches. Candidates who have previously worked with established brands in the FMCG or food industry will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify new product opportunities in the rice category.
- Study consumer preferences, market demands, and industry trends.
- Develop new SKUs based on business requirements and market opportunities.
- Coordinate product trials and evaluate product performance.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team to identify suitable raw materials.
- Work with the Quality team to establish product specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with packaging suppliers for packaging design, materials, and development.
- Conduct product benchmarking and competitor analysis.




- Prepare product cost sheets and conduct margin analysis.
- Evaluate new pack sizes, pricing strategies, and product positioning.
- Coordinate with Sales and Marketing teams to support successful product launches.
- Identify opportunities for premium, differentiated, and value-added rice products.
- Ensure new products meet quality standards, customer expectations, and business objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in New Product Development, preferably in the rice, food, or FMCG industry.
- Experience working with established brands will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of rice varieties, product specifications, and food quality requirements.
- Understanding of product costing, pricing, and profitability analysis.
- Strong market research, analytical, and product development skills.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple product development projects and meet deadlines.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
