: MEP Engineer (Electrical, Plumbing & Firefighting)

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Engineer to lead and supervise the electrical, plumbing and firefighting works on our projects. The role also covers the water and wastewater infrastructure: Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and drainage systems. You will be responsible for design coordination, execution quality, safety, and timely handover.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Works

- Supervise HT/LT power distribution, transformers, DG sets, panels, cabling, earthing and lightning protection.
- Oversee internal wiring, lighting, small power, and external/street lighting installation.
- Review load calculations, SLDs, cable schedules and shop drawings.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning and statutory approvals (electrical inspectorate, utility provider).

Plumbing Works

- Supervise water supply (domestic, flushing, hot water), sanitary and rainwater systems.
- Oversee pumps, tanks, booster sets, valves, piping and fixtures.
- Ensure pressure testing, flushing, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

Firefighting Works

- Supervise fire hydrant, sprinkler, wet riser/dry riser, fire pump room and hose reel systems.
- Coordinate fire detection and alarm systems, and fire extinguisher installation.
- Ensure compliance with NBC and local fire authority requirements, and obtain the Fire NOC.

STP, WTP & Drainage

- Supervise installation, commissioning and operation handover of STP and WTP (civil, mechanical and electrical components).
- Oversee storm water and sewage drainage networks, including manholes, gradients, pumping stations and connections to external networks.




- Ensure treated water quality meets pollution control board norms.

General Project Responsibilities

- Review and approve drawings, material submittals, BOQs and method statements.
- Coordinate with architects, structural teams, consultants, contractors and other MEP disciplines to resolve clashes.
- Monitor progress against schedule, manage manpower and materials, and track budgets.
- Conduct quality inspections, material approvals and snag closure.
- Verify contractor measurements and bills, and support certification.
- Enforce site safety standards and permit-to-work systems.
- Prepare as-built drawings, O&M; manuals and handover documentation.

Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Diploma with extensive experience may be considered).
- 7-10 years of relevant MEP experience in construction projects such as High-rise residential, commercial, industrial or township developments.
- Proven hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing and firefighting works, plus STP/WTP and drainage.

Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of NBC, IS codes, NEC, local electrical and fire regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and detect clashes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and MS Project/Primavera. Revit/BIM knowledge is a plus.
- Good understanding of testing and commissioning procedures.
- Strong leadership, vendor and contractor management skills.
- Clear communication and documentation skills.
- Problem-solving ability and a safety-first mindset.

Preferred
- Experience handling multi-tower or large-scale projects.
- Knowledge of HVAC coordination and BMS/ELV systems.
- Certifications in fire safety or project management.
