A Mechanical Structural Engineer designs, analyzes, and oversees the fabrication and installation of steel and mechanical support structures for industrial plants, machinery, and heavy equipment.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

- Structural Design & Analysis: Perform load calculations, stress testing, and finite element analysis (FEA) on mechanical systems, machine frames, pipe racks, galleries, and equipment supports.
- Drawing & Detailing Review: Prepare, review, and interpret fabrication drawings, erection schemes, lifting plans, and technical specifications.
- Fabrication & Site Erection Support: Supervise the fabrication, welding, bolt tightening, alignment, and heavy lifting/erection of structural steel components at project sites.
- Material & Code Compliance: Select appropriate material grades and ensure compliance with industry safety standards and codes (such as ASME, AISC, ISO, or IS standards).
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, QA/QC, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education:



Bachelor’s degree (B.E. or B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred for specialized design roles).
- Experience: Typically 3 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication, erection, or mechanical design within heavy industries (e.g., steel plants, mining, material handling, or power sectors).
- Software Proficiency:
- CAD tools: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Revit
- FEA and structural software: ANSYS, Abaqus, or RISA
- Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in structural mechanics, welding procedures, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), bolted connections, and rigging/lifting operations.

Pay: ₹39,000.00 - ₹53,000.00 per month
