1. Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to develop mechanical designs, prepare engineering drawings, and support product development activities. The candidate will be responsible for creating 2D drawings and 3D models, ensuring design accuracy, and coordinating with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet technical requirements.
1. Roles & Responsibilities

A. Mechanical Design & Development

- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and products.
- Prepare 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
- Modify existing designs based on technical requirements and feedback.
- Select suitable materials and components as per design specifications.
- Support new product development and design improvement activities.

B. CAD Software & Technical Drawings

- Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other relevant CAD software.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions and tolerances.
- Develop assembly drawings, component drawings, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Ensure drawings comply with engineering standards and specifications.

C. Product Testing & Validation

- Coordinate with production and quality teams for prototype development.
- Assist in design verification, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Identify design issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

D. Documentation & Coordination

- Maintain design files, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.




- Coordinate with production, purchase, quality, and service departments.
- Support manufacturing and assembly teams with technical clarifications.
- Ensure timely completion of design projects.

E. Quality & Continuous Improvement

- Follow applicable engineering standards and company procedures.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and design optimization.
- Ensure accuracy, safety, and reliability of mechanical designs.

1. Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering design principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and fits.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical components.
- Ability to prepare BOMs and technical documentation.
- Basic knowledge of testing, quality control, and product development.

1. Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Candidates with relevant mechanical design experience will be preferred.
